The reactions of several square-planar IrXL2(PR3) complexes with HSnR3 have been studied. The oxidative addition of HSnPh3 to the complexes IrCl(TFB)(PR3) (TFB = tetrafluorobenzobarrelene, PR3/s
Synthesis and characterization of IrH2{Si(OTf)Ph2}(TFB)(PR3) (PR3 = PiPr3, PCy3): First base-stabilized silylene complexes of iridium

The reactions of H2SiPh2 with the triflato complexes Ir(OTf)(TFB)(PR3) afford the base-stabilized silylene complexes IrH2{Si(OTf)Ph2}(TFB)(PR3) (TFB = tetrafluorobenzobarrelene; PR3 = PiPr3, PCy3). The single-crystal X-ray structural analysis of IrH2{Si(OTf)-Ph2}(TFB)(PiPr3) has been performed. The distances Ir-Si (2.337(2) ?) and Si-O (1.790(5) ?) as well as the summation of angles at silicon, ignoring the Si-OTf bond (343.5°), are in agreement with the partial unsaturated character of the base-stabilized silylene ligand.
