The invention provides a preparation technology of (S)-3-carbobenzoxy-4-isopropyl-2,5-oxazolidinedione. The (S)-3-carbobenzoxy-4-isopropyl-2,5-oxazolidinedione can serve as a valganciclovir hydrochloride intermediate.
