Usage

General Description

Trichloro(3-chloro-2-methylpropyl)silane is a chemical compound with the formula Cl3Si(CH3)CHCl2. It is a colorless liquid that is soluble in organic solvents and reacts violently with water to release hydrogen chloride gas. trichloro(3-chloro-2-methylpropyl)silane is primarily used as a cross-linking agent in the production of silicone polymers and resins. It is also used as a surface modifier for various materials and in the synthesis of other organosilicon compounds. Trichloro(3-chloro-2-methylpropyl)silane is considered to be highly reactive and should be handled with caution, as it can cause severe skin and eye irritation and is flammable when exposed to air.
