Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 1820-01-5 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 1,8,2 and 0 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 0 and 1 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 1820-01:
(6*1)+(5*8)+(4*2)+(3*0)+(2*0)+(1*1)=55
55 % 10 = 5
So 1820-01-5 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Solvent-free synthesis of heterocyclic thioureas using microwave technology

Li, Jian-Ping,Luo, Qian-Fu,Wang, Yu-Lu,Wang, Hong

, p. 73 - 75 (2007/10/03)

A new and rapid solvent-free synthesis of heterocyclic thioureas in a microwave oven has been reported for the first time. Nine heterocyclic thioureas that possess biological activity have been synthesized. The reaction time is short (2-4.5 min) and gives

Synthesis and antimicrobial activity of 1-aryl-2-amino-3-(4-arylthiazol- 2-yl)/(benzothiazol-2-yl)guanidines

Lakhan, Ram,Sharma, Bimal Prasad,Shukla, Bishwa Nath

, p. 331 - 337 (2007/10/03)

The synthesis of fifteen new 1-aryl-2-amino-3-(4-arylthiazol-2- yl)/(benzothiazol-2-yl)guanidines is described. They were screened for their antimicrobial susceptibility by the standard disc diffusion method of the World Health Organization (WHO) and the activities compared with that of standard strain of Escherichia coli NCTC 10418. The sensitive aminoguanidines were further subjected to the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) test. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science S.A.
