18228-16-5 Usage

General Description

NAPHTHOL AS-CL PHOSPHATE is a synthetic dye commonly used in the textile industry. It belongs to the family of naphthol dyes and is primarily used for dyeing cellulose fibers such as cotton and rayon. NAPHTHOL AS-CL PHOSPHATE is known for its high color fastness and compatibility with other dyes, making it a popular choice for a wide range of textile applications. However, it is important to note that the use of this chemical has raised concerns about its environmental impact and potential health hazards, leading to increased regulations and restrictions on its use in some regions.

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 18228-16-5 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 1,8,2,2 and 8 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 1 and 6 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 18228-16:
(7*1)+(6*8)+(5*2)+(4*2)+(3*8)+(2*1)+(1*6)=105
105 % 10 = 5
So 18228-16-5 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Fluorescent substrates for potential use in enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay of membrane-bound nucleic acids

Fujita, Satoshi,Momiyama, Masayoshi,Kondo, Yasumitsu,Kagiyama, Naoto,Hori, Samuel H.,Toru, Takeshi

, p. 1347 - 1353 (2007/10/02)

A number of phosphorylated fluorochromes were synthesized and tested for the alkaline phosphatase-linked fluorescence assay of membrane-bound nucleic acids. 3-Hydroxy-N-2′-biphenyl-2-naphthalenecarboxamide phosphate ester (HBNP) was found to be the most suitable for the assay. Nonfluorescent HBNP is hydrolyzed by phospholipase bound to the probe DNA to the highly fluorescent 3-hydroxy-N,2′-biphenyl-2-naphthalenecarboxamide (HBN). HBN is insoluble enough in aqueous medium to precipitate on the nylon membrane. Spots containing as little as 5 fg of λ DNA can be successfully detected on the membrane with HBNP.
