18228-16-5 Usage

Uses

Used in Textile Industry:
NAPHTHOL AS-CL PHOSPHATE is used as a dyeing agent for cellulose fibers such as cotton and rayon. It is favored for its high color fastness, which ensures that the dyed fabrics maintain their color even under various conditions, and its compatibility with other dyes, allowing for a wide range of color combinations and effects in textile applications.
While the provided materials do not specify other industries or additional uses for NAPHTHOL AS-CL PHOSPHATE, it is important to note that dyes like this may also find applications in other areas where coloration is required, such as in the production of paints, inks, or even certain types of plastics. However, without further information, these uses cannot be confirmed.

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 18228-16-5 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 1,8,2,2 and 8 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 1 and 6 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 18228-16:
(7*1)+(6*8)+(5*2)+(4*2)+(3*8)+(2*1)+(1*6)=105
105 % 10 = 5
So 18228-16-5 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Fluorescent substrates for potential use in enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay of membrane-bound nucleic acids

Fujita, Satoshi,Momiyama, Masayoshi,Kondo, Yasumitsu,Kagiyama, Naoto,Hori, Samuel H.,Toru, Takeshi

, p. 1347 - 1353 (2007/10/02)

A number of phosphorylated fluorochromes were synthesized and tested for the alkaline phosphatase-linked fluorescence assay of membrane-bound nucleic acids. 3-Hydroxy-N-2′-biphenyl-2-naphthalenecarboxamide phosphate ester (HBNP) was found to be the most suitable for the assay. Nonfluorescent HBNP is hydrolyzed by phospholipase bound to the probe DNA to the highly fluorescent 3-hydroxy-N,2′-biphenyl-2-naphthalenecarboxamide (HBN). HBN is insoluble enough in aqueous medium to precipitate on the nylon membrane. Spots containing as little as 5 fg of λ DNA can be successfully detected on the membrane with HBNP.
