Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 183052-93-9 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 1,8,3,0,5 and 2 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 9 and 3 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 183052-93:
(8*1)+(7*8)+(6*3)+(5*0)+(4*5)+(3*2)+(2*9)+(1*3)=129
129 % 10 = 9
So 183052-93-9 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Electrochemical fluorination using halogen mediators in ionic liquid hydrogen fluoride salt

Takahashi, Kohta,Inagi, Shinsuke,Fuchigami, Toshio

, p. G3046-G3052 (2013)

In order to utilize ammomium halides (Et4NX, X=Cl, Br, I) as halogenmediator for electrocatalytic fluorination, cyclic voltammetry measurements of the halides were investigated. The catalytic current of the halides in the presence of a dithioacatal compound was observed and the macro-scale electrolysis of dithioacetals using the halogen mediator was also carried out in ionic liquid hydrogen fluoride (HF) salt to give the corresponding fluorinated products in excellent yields. The recycle use of the halogen mediator in the electrochemical fluorination was successfully demonstrated. More inexpensive halides such as potassium bromide and potassium iodide could be soluble in HF salt and worked well as halogen mediator for the electrocatalytic fluorination.

Electrochemical fluorination using alkali-metal fluorides

Sawamura, Takahiro,Takahashi, Kohta,Inagi, Shinsuke,Fuchigami, Toshio

supporting information; experimental part, p. 4413 - 4416 (2012/06/18)

Charged up: The selective electrochemical fluorination of organic compounds using the alkali-metal fluoride KF under very mild reaction conditions has been accomplished (see scheme). The long-standing problems of low solubility of metal fluorides in organic solvent and low nucleophilicity of fluoride ions for fluorination have been overcome by the use of of poly(ethylene glycol).
