Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 186349-09-7 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 1,8,6,3,4 and 9 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 0 and 9 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 186349-09:
(8*1)+(7*8)+(6*6)+(5*3)+(4*4)+(3*9)+(2*0)+(1*9)=167
167 % 10 = 7
So 186349-09-7 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Polyether-bridged cyclophanes incorporating bisphenol A units as neutral receptors for quats: Synthesis, molecular structure and binding properties

Dalla Cort, Antonella,Nissinen, Maija,Mancinetti, Daniele,Nicoletti, Elena,Mandolini, Luigi,Rissanen, Kari

, p. 425 - 431 (2007/10/03)

Two novel neutral polyoxyethylene bridged cyclophanes (2a and 2b) incorporating bisphenol A units were synthesized and characterized by means of x-ray crystal structure determination. The binding properties of 2a and 2b toward tetramethylammonium, N-methylpyridinium, and acetylcholine cations were evaluated by means of 1H NMR spectroscopy. Consistent with indications provided by the molecular structure, the cavity in the basket-like cyclophanes is large enough to accommodate the given guest cations conveniently. Circumstantial evidence was obtained that 1,1,2,2-tetrachloroethane is too large to enter the cavity of the smaller cyclophane 2a, but can be included in the cavity of the larger cyclophane 2b.

An ether-linked tetrafunctional acylating reagent and its cross-linking reactions with hemoglobin

Kluger, Ronald,Paal, Krisztina,Adamson, J. Gordon

, p. 271 - 279 (2007/10/03)

A new type of tetrafunctional reagent for cross-linking proteins has been prepared and used to modify human hemoglobin A. DPEE (1,2-bis{2-[3,5-bis(3,5-dibromosalicyloxycarbonyl) phenoxy]ethoxy}ethane)) has two separate pairs of reacting sites connected by
