Tris-(diphenyloxophosphinomethyl)-phosphinoxid, also known as tris(diphenylphosphinomethyl)phosphine oxide, is a complex organophosphorus compound with the chemical formula C36H30OP3. It is a white crystalline solid that is insoluble in water but soluble in organic solvents. Tris-(diphenyloxophosphinomethyl)-phosphinoxid is characterized by its three diphenylphosphinomethyl groups attached to a central phosphorus atom, which is further oxidized to a phosphine oxide. It is often used as a ligand in coordination chemistry, particularly in the formation of metal complexes, and has applications in catalysis and the synthesis of various phosphorus-containing compounds. Due to its stability and unique electronic properties, it is a valuable building block in the development of new materials and pharmaceuticals.

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 18855-54-4 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 1,8,8,5 and 5 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 5 and 4 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 18855-54:
(7*1)+(6*8)+(5*8)+(4*5)+(3*5)+(2*5)+(1*4)=144
144 % 10 = 4
So 18855-54-4 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Polyphosphine polyoxides as complexing agents of actinides for the removal from the nuclear wastes or from the human body

Cristau, Henri-Jean,Virieux, David,Pirat, Jean-Luc,Ansoborlo, Eric,Napoli, Marie Helene Henge,Paquet, Francois

, p. 505 - 508 (1999)

We synthesized two kinds of polyphosphine polyoxides. The first one has ether bridge and the second one shows PCP linkage. Complexation properties of these compounds towards minor actinides (Np, Pu and Am) have been evaluated from liquid-liquid extraction

Facile and general synthesis of polyphosphane polyoxides with (O)PCP(O) linkages

Cristau, Henri-Jean,Virieux, David,Mouchet, Patrick,Fruchier, Alain

, p. 1561 - 1569 (2007/10/03)

Polyphosphane polyoxides with (O)PCP(O) linkages are powerful chelating agents for extraction of actinides from nuclear wastes. They are obtained either by the Michaelis-Arbuzov reaction of chloromethylphosphane oxides and phosphorus(III) esters, or by the reaction of phosphane oxide carbanions with chlorophosphanes. With the latter method, the addition of a phosphane oxide carbanion in excess allowed us to overcome a transmetallation reaction and thereby obtain polyphosphane polyoxides in good yields. The 1H-NMR spectra of the PCH2P groups show the influence of the different R groups attached to the phosphorus atoms. We determined the coupling constants and the chemical shifts of these spin systems.
