Chemical synthesis of GDP-L-galactose and analogues
Binch, Hayley,Stangier, Katja,Thiem, Joachim
, p. 409 - 419 (1998)
Succinct syntheses for L-galactose, 3-deoxy-L-xylo-hexose (3-deoxy-L- galactose), 6-deoxy-Lgalactopyranose (L-flucose) and 3,6-dideoxy-L-xylo- hexose (3,6-dideoxy-L-galactose) have been developed starting from commercially available L-galactono-1,4-lactone. L-Galactose and variants were then converted to the guanosine diphosphate derivatives, via the formation of the anomeric phosphates and coupling to guanosine monophosphate morpholidate.
Convenient chemoenzymatic synthesis of β-purine-diphosphate sugars (GDP-fucose-analogues)
Baisch, Gabi,Oehrlein, Reinhold
, p. 383 - 391 (2007/10/03)
A series of peracetylated β-sugar-1-phosphates with L-fuco configuration are efficiently prepared chemically and coupled in high yields to purine monophosphate bases via imidazolide activation. The resulting purine diphosphate sugars are deacetylated comp
