METHOD FOR PRODUCING TCD DIAMINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing TCD diamine, which enables production of TCD diamine while suppressing generation of a by-product. SOLUTION: The method for producing TCD diamine comprises: iminating TCD dialdehyde by mixing TCD dialdehyde and a protecting group, a compound represented by R1-NH2, to obtain a TCD compound having two protected imino groups; subjecting the TCD compound having two protected imino groups to a catalytic reduction to obtain a TCD compound having two protected amino groups; and deprotecting the TCD compound having two protected amino groups to obtain TCD diamine.
