Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 189822-34-2 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 1,8,9,8,2 and 2 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 3 and 4 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 189822-34:
(8*1)+(7*8)+(6*9)+(5*8)+(4*2)+(3*2)+(2*3)+(1*4)=182
182 % 10 = 2
So 189822-34-2 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Synthesis, characterization, and thermodynamics of some new unsymmetrical Co(III) Schiff base complexes derived from 2,3-diaminopyridine

Asadi, Mozaffar,Torabi, Susan,Mohammadi, Khosro

, p. 1635 - 1643 (2013)

Some new Schiff bases derived from 2,3-diaminopyridine and their new Co(III) complexes were synthesized and characterized. The formation constants of the Co(III) complexes vary according to the following trend: 5-MeO > 5-H > 5-Br and 5-MeO > 3-MeO > 4-MeO. For a given donor, the order of formation constants according to the axial ligand is PBu3 > PPh2Me. The binding trend of the donors toward a given cobalt(III) Schiff base complex is as follows: benzylamine > nbutylamine > sec-butylamine > tert-butylamine; Im > 2-MeIm > 2-EtIm > BzIm; and PBu3 > PPh2Me. In vitro anti-glycation and anti-oxidant properties of synthesized schiff bases

Jhaumeer-Laulloo, Sabina,Bhowon, Minu Gupta,Mungur, Shabneez,Mahomoodally, Mohamad Fawzi,Subratty, Anwar Hussein

experimental part, p. 409 - 414 (2012/09/25)

A series of mono, bis and mixed Schiff bases (1-7) were synthesised and evaluated for potential anti-glycation and anti-oxidant activities using the bovine serum albumin - glucose assay and 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) free radical assay respectiv
