19210-06-1 Usage

General Description

A dark-colored viscous liquid with a mild odor. Insoluble in water and slightly less dense than water. Contact may moderately irritate skin, eyes, and mucous membranes, and cause dizziness, nausea and loss of consciousness. Used to make other chemicals and is a marine pollutant.

Air & Water Reactions

Insoluble in water.

Reactivity Profile

Salts, basic, such as Zinc dithiophosphate, are generally soluble in water. The resulting solutions contain moderate concentrations of hydroxide ions and have pH's greater than 7.0. They react as bases to neutralize acids. These neutralizations generate heat, but less or far less than is generated by neutralization of the bases in reactivity group 10 (Bases) and the neutralization of amines. They usually do not react as either oxidizing agents or reducing agents but such behavior is not impossible.

Health Hazard

Inhalation or contact with material may irritate or burn skin and eyes. Fire may produce irritating, corrosive and/or toxic gases. Vapors may cause dizziness or suffocation. Runoff from fire control or dilution water may cause pollution.

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 19210-06-1 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 1,9,2,1 and 0 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 0 and 6 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 19210-06:
(7*1)+(6*9)+(5*2)+(4*1)+(3*0)+(2*0)+(1*6)=81
81 % 10 = 1
So 19210-06-1 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Temperature effects on mechanical properties of Zinc dithiophosphate (cas 19210-06-1) tribofilms08/02/2019

Nanoindentation tests were performed at several temperatures (24–80 °C) on one antiwear zinc dialkyl-dithiophosphate (ZDTP) tribofilm using a Nanoindenter XP® entirely set into a climatic chamber. Mechanical properties of the tribofilm were determined using a simple model. AFM observations wer...detailed
