Diphenylcyclopentadienyltin chloride has been found to react metathetically with silver salts of pseudohalides (AgX; X = CN, N3, NCS and NCSe) to give new diphenylcyclopentadienyltin(IV) pseudohalides. Ph2CpSnCl reacts with various neutral donor ligands (L) to give adducts of the type [Ph2CpSnCl.L] (L = α/β/γ-picoline, aniline, 2,2′-bipyridyl (biy), DMSO, pyridine-N-oxide, α-picoline-N-oxide and β-picoline-N-oxide.
