The complexes (Ph3P)(R3E) PtPPh2(CH2)nSiR′2 (n = 2: R′ = Me: ER3 = SiPh3, SiMePh2, SnPh3; R′ = Ph: ER3 = SiPh3, SiMePh2; n= 1, R′ = Me, ER3 = SiPh3) are obtained by reaction of Ph2P(CH2)nSiR′2ER3 with (Ph3P)2Pt(π-C2H4). The bis(silyl) complex (Ph3P)(Ph3Si) PtPPh2CH2SiMe2 was characterized by an X-ray structure analysis, which showed the two silyl groups to be cis (Pt-Si 236.8(1) and 237.4(1) pm).
