Usage

General Description

[D-Asp3, E-Dhb7]-Microcystin-RR is a cyanotoxin produced by certain species of cyanobacteria, most notably Microcystis aeruginosa. It is a cyclic heptapeptide with a unique structure, consisting of amino acids d-Aspartic acid (D-Asp) and erythro-β-methylaspartic acid (E-Dhb) at positions 3 and 7, respectively. This toxin is known to be highly potent and can cause harm to the liver, nervous system, and other organs in humans and animals. It can contaminate water sources, particularly in blooms of cyanobacteria, and poses a significant risk to public health and the environment. Efforts are ongoing to develop effective methods to detect and remove [D-Asp3, E-Dhb7]-Microcystin-RR from water sources to mitigate its harmful effects.
