Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 20398-76-9 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 2,0,3,9 and 8 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 7 and 6 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 20398-76:
(7*2)+(6*0)+(5*3)+(4*9)+(3*8)+(2*7)+(1*6)=109
109 % 10 = 9
So 20398-76-9 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

N,N'-dihalo-1,4-benzoquinonediimines as antitumor agents
Hodnett,Prakash
, p. 101 - 104 (2007/10/02)
Ten N,N'-dichloro- and N,N'-dibromo-1,4-benzoquinonediimines have been synthesized and tested against the ascitic from of the Sarcoma 180 tumor in Swiss mice. Although these compounds have nitrogen-halogen bonds they are relatively stable in water at pH 7.0 and 24.8°C and are good cytostatic agents.
