Reverse-CD mimics with flexible linkages offer adaptable cavity sizes for guest encapsulation
Pathigoolla, Atchutarao,Sureshan, Kana M.
supporting information, p. 317 - 319 (2014/01/06)
Reverse-CD mimics with adaptable cavity sizes have been synthesized. The adaptability has been demonstrated through single crystal structure determination and guest binding studies.
Supramolecular design of a bicomponent topochemical reaction between two non-identical molecules
Krishnan, Baiju P.,Ramakrishnan, Shyama,Sureshan, Kana M.
supporting information, p. 1494 - 1496 (2013/03/13)
We report the first design of a topochemical reaction between two non-identical reactants using a supramolecular chemistry approach. A coassembly of two sugar-based organogelators with complementary reacting motifs, viz. azides and alkynes, undergoes topochemical Huisgen reaction between them. The Royal Society of Chemistry 2013.
Hydrogen-bonding cooperativity: Using an intramolecular hydrogen bond to design a carbohydrate derivative with a cooperative hydrogen-bond donor centre
Vicente, Virginie,Martin, Jason,Jimenez-Barbero, Jesus,Chiara, Jose Luis,Vicent, Cristina
, p. 4240 - 4251 (2007/10/03)
Neighbouring groups can be strategically located to polarise HO...OH intramolecular hydrogen bonds in an intended direction. A group with a unique hydrogen-bond donor or acceptor character, located at hydrogen-bonding distance to a particular OH group, ha
A galabiose-based two-dimensional scaffold for the synthesis of inhibitors targeting Pk- and P-antigen binding proteins
Ohlsson, J?rgen,Nilsson, Ulf J.
, p. 2785 - 2787 (2007/10/03)
A disaccharide scaffold based on galabiose (Galα1-4Gal) was synthesized. Four different acceptors were evaluated in the α-galactosylation and a relationship between the nucleophilicity, yield, and α/β-selectivity was found. The scaffold contains two ortho
