Azolyl Derivatives of Nitrohalobutadienes. I. Reaction of 1,1-Bis(benzotriazol-1-yl)-2-nitrotrihalo-1,3-butadienes with N-, N,N-, and N,O-Nucleophiles

Reaction of 1,1-bis(benzotriazol-1-yl)-2-nitrotrihalo-1,3-butadienes with amines (1 : 1) results in the corresponding 1-amino-1-(benzotriazol-1-yl)-2-nitrotrihalo-1,3-butadienes. Reaction of equimolar amount of amine on aminobenzotriazolyl products or of the two-fold excess of amine with bis(benzotriazolyl) compounds affords 1,1-diamino-2-nitrotrihalo-1,3-butadienes. By the reaction of 1,1-bis(benzotriazol-1-yl)-2-nitrotrichloro-1,3-butadiene with N,N- and N,O-binucleophilic reagents derivatives of imidazolidine, oxazolidine, benzimidazoline, and benzoxazoline have been synthesized.
