Germylcopper compounds Ph3GeCu(PPh3)3 (1) and (C6F5)3GeCu(PPh3)2 (2) were synthesized by reaction of organogermanium hydrides R3GeH (R=Ph, C6F5) with t-BuOCu in the presence of PPh3. The crystal structure of 2 and its analogous {(C6F5)3GeCu(PPh3)2}(THF) 2 (3) with two additional solvate THF molecules have been determined by X-ray diffraction method. In both 2 and 3 crystals the Cu atom is bonded to the Ge atom of (C6F5)3Ge group and the two P atoms of PPh3 ligands and have a slightly distorted planar-trigonal environments. The Cu-Ge distances are 2.370(2), 2.382(2) A in 2 (for two independent molecules) and 2.348(1) A in 3.
