Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 212261-14-8 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 2,1,2,2,6 and 1 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 1 and 4 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 212261-14:
(8*2)+(7*1)+(6*2)+(5*2)+(4*6)+(3*1)+(2*1)+(1*4)=78
78 % 10 = 8
So 212261-14-8 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Esterification of the Primary Benzylic C-H Bonds with Carboxylic Acids Catalyzed by Ionic Iron(III) Complexes Containing an Imidazolinium Cation

Lu, Bing,Zhu, Fan,Sun, Hong-Mei,Shen, Qi

supporting information, p. 1132 - 1135 (2017/03/14)

The first iron-catalyzed esterification of the primary benzylic C-H bonds with carboxylic acids using di-tert-butyl peroxide as an oxidant is achieved by novel ionic iron(III) complexes containing an imidazolinium cation. The use of well-defined, air-stable, and available iron(III) complex in a 5 mol % loading and readily available starting materials with a broad generality and outstanding sterically hindered tolerance renders this methodology a useful alternative to other protocols that are typically employed for the synthesis of benzyl esters.

Easy access to benzylic esters directly from alkyl benzenes under metal-free conditions

Majji, Ganesh,Guin, Srimanta,Gogoi, Anupal,Rout, Saroj Kumar,Patel, Bhisma K.

supporting information, p. 3031 - 3033 (2013/05/09)

An efficient metal free protocol has been developed for the synthesis of benzylic esters via a cross dehydrogenative coupling (CDC) involving alkylbenzene(s) as a self- or as a cross-coupling partner(s) via the intermediacy of Ar-COOH and the benzylic carbocation obtained from the other half of the alkylbenzene; both symmetrical as well as unsymmetrical esters can be prepared using Bu4NI and TBHP. Solubilizing agents for active or functional organic compounds

-

, (2008/06/13)

An active or functional organic compound is solubilized in a diaryl organic compound having a polar or polarizable functional group therein, as a solvent, cosolvent or additive, to form a composition thereof. Representative active or functional organic compounds include those present in personal care products, e.g., sunscreens containing UVA/UVB absorbing compounds, such as avobenzone, benzophenone-3, and 4-methylbenzylidene camphor. Such compositions also show increased SPF, UVA/UVB absorbance ratio, and critical wavelength performance properties.
