Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 212758-63-9 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 2,1,2,7,5 and 8 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 6 and 3 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 212758-63:
(8*2)+(7*1)+(6*2)+(5*7)+(4*5)+(3*8)+(2*6)+(1*3)=129
129 % 10 = 9
So 212758-63-9 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Oxidative carbonylation of primary amines to ureas using tungsten carbonyl catalysts

McCusker, Jennifer E.,Logan, Jennifer,McElwee-White, Lisa

, p. 4037 - 4041 (2008/10/08)

The iodo-bridged tungsten(IV) dimer [(CO)2 W(NPh)I2]2 (1) has been demonstrated to be a catalyst for the oxidative carbonylation of primary amines to 1,3-disubstituted ureas. The amine complexes (CO)2I2W(NPh)(NH2R) [R = n-Bu (2a), R = n-Pr (2b), R = t-Bu (2c)] and [(CO)2IW(NPh)(NH2R)2]+ [R = n-Bu (4a), R = n-Pr (4b)] have been isolated from reactions of 1 with primary amines. Complexes 2a-c and 4a-b have been shown to lie along the pathway to the catalytically active species. In addition, it has been determined that primary amines can be oxidatively carbonylated to 1,3-disubstituted ureas using W(CO)6 as catalyst and I2 as the oxidant.
