The thermodynamic analysis of the dimerisation of trans-piperylene has been carried out under standard conditions.The Gibbs free energies of the dimerisation reaction and of eight dimers have been calculated.The percentage contents of the dimers after the attainment of the monomer -> - dimer equilibrium in the system as well as the relative contents of oligomers in the equilibrium mixture have been estimated.
