The ternary complexes [Pd(RaaiCH2Ph) (S S)] (ClO4) (4, 5) where RaaiCH2 Ph is N (1) - benzyl - 2 - (arylazo) imidazole, [p-RC6H4N4N=NC3H2N N(1)CH2C6H5 (2); R = H (a), Me (b), Cl (c)] and (S S) = N,N-diethyldithiocarbamate (dedtc) (4) and morpholinedithiocarbamate (mdtc) (5) have been prepared and characterized on the basis of elemental analyses, IR, UV/VIS and 1H NMR data. Electrochemical studies exhibit azo group reduction.
