Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 21568-19-4 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 2,1,5,6 and 8 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 1 and 9 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 21568-19:
(7*2)+(6*1)+(5*5)+(4*6)+(3*8)+(2*1)+(1*9)=104
104 % 10 = 4
So 21568-19-4 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Improved synthesis of coumarins by iron(III)-catalyzed cascade reaction of propiolic acids and phenols

Kutubi, Md. Shahajahan,Hashimoto, Takuya,Kitamura, Tsugio

, p. 1283 - 1289 (2011)

The reaction of propiolic acids with phenols in the presence of FeClAgOTf catalyst proceeded efficiently in a mixed solvent of trifluoroacetic acid and 1,2-dichloroethane, and provided coumarins in good to high yields. This iron-catalyzed reaction offers a much-improved synthesis of coumarins. Thieme Stuttgart New York.

Cyclization of aryl 3-aryl propynoates into 4-arylcoumarins catalyzed by cyclometalated Platinum(II) complexes

Zaitceva, Olesia,Bénéteau, Valérie,Ryabukhin, Dmitry S.,Eliseev, Ivan I.,Kinzhalov, Mikhal A.,Louis, Benoit,Vasilyev, Aleksander V.,Pale, Patrick

supporting information, (2020/03/05)

Cyclometalated (ppy)PtII complexes (ppy = 2-phenylpyridinato-C2,N) catalyze the intramolecular cyclization of aryl propynoates to form coumarins and benzocoumarins. The complex [(ppy)PtCl(MeCN)] (5 mol %) was the most active and effi

Zeolite-promoted Synthesis of Coumarins and Thiocoumarins

Zaitceva, Olesia,Bénéteau, Valérie,Ryabukhin, Dmitry S.,Louis, Benoit,Vasilyev, Aleksander V.,Pale, Patrick

, p. 326 - 333 (2019/11/13)

Acidic zeolites, especially faujasites, efficiently promote the intramolecular cyclization of aryl propynoates and propynethioates, which produces coumarins and thiocoumarins, usually in high yields. Comparison with homogeneous Lewis or Br?nsted acids and

Platinum-Catalyzed Desaturation of Lactams, Ketones, and Lactones

Chen, Ming,Rago, Alexander J.,Dong, Guangbin

supporting information, p. 16205 - 16209 (2018/11/23)

The development of a general platinum-catalyzed desaturation of N-protected lactams, ketones, and lactones to their conjugated α,β-unsaturated counterparts is reported. The reaction operates under mildly acidic conditions at room temperature or 50 °C. It is scalable and tolerates a wide range of functional groups. The complementary reactivity to the palladium-catalyzed desaturation is demonstrated in the efficient conversion of iodide, bromide, and sulfur-containing substrates.

Synthesis of 4-arylcoumarins via palladium-catalyzed arylation/cyclization of ortho-hydroxylcinnamates with diaryliodonium salts

Yang, Yang,Han, Jianwei,Wu, Xunshen,Xu, Shujia,Wang, Limin

supporting information, p. 3809 - 3812 (2015/06/08)

The palladium-catalyzed arylation/cyclization of ortho-hydroxylcinnamate ester derivatives by using diaryliodonium(III) salts has been developed. With this method, 4-arylcoumarins were easily prepared in good to excellent yields under base-free conditions

Palladium-catalyzed synthesis of 4-arylcoumarins using triarylbismuth compounds as atom-Efficient multicoupling organometallic nucleophiles

Rao, Maddali L. N.,Venkatesh, Varadhachari,Jadhav, Deepak N.

experimental part, p. 3945 - 3955 (2010/09/05)

Triarylbismuth compounds have been cross-coupled as atomefficient multicoupling organometallic nucleophiles with. 4bromo- and 4- (trifluoromethylsulfonyloxy)coumarins under palladium catalysis conditions. These reactions afforded an array of 4-arylcoumari

Metal triflate-catalyzed regio- And stereoselective friedelCrafts alkenylation of arenes with alkynes in an ionic liquid: Scope and mechanism

Yoon, Mi Young,Kim, Jin Hong,Choi, Doo Seoung,Shin, Ueon Sang,Lee, Jin Yong,Song, Choong Eui

, p. 1725 - 1737 (2008/02/11)

In the metal triflate-catalyzed hydroarylation of alkynes, employing an ionic liquid dramatically enhanced the catalytic activities, resulting in broadening the scope of substrates (arenes and alkynes). In some cases, even reactions that were not possible in conventional organic solvents proceeded smoothly in ionic liquids. Moreover, the ionic liquid phase containing catalyst could be readily recovered by simple decantation of the organic layer after reaction and reused for the following runs without any significant loss of activity. Mechanistic studies including 13C NMR analysis of reaction intermediates and isotope experiments confirmed for the first time that this type of reaction proceeds via vinyl cationic intermediates.

Structure-activity relationship of natural and synthetic coumarins inhibiting the multidrug transporter P-glycoprotein

Raad, Imad,Terreux, Raphael,Richomme, Pascal,Matera, Eva-Laure,Dumontet, Charles,Raynaud, Jean,Guilet, David

, p. 6979 - 6987 (2007/10/03)

A set of 32 natural and synthetic coumarins were tested in order to evaluate their activity on human leukemic cells (K562/R7) overexpressing P-glycoprotein (P-gp). Their ability to reduce the P-gp-mediated drug efflux of daunorubicin out of cells was eval

Synthesis of coumarins by Pt-catalyzed hydroarylation of propiolic acids with phenols

Oyamada, Juzo,Kitamura, Tsugio

, p. 6918 - 6925 (2007/10/03)

Synthesis of coumarins from phenols and propiolic acids was examined by using a Pt catalyst such as PtCl2/AgOTf, K2PtCl4/AgOTf, and K2PtCl4/AgOAc. Propiolic acid reacted even with less reactive phenols in trifluoroacetic acid to give coumarins and dihydrocoumarins. In the case of substituted propiolic acids, phenylpropiolic acid and 2-octynoic acid, the reactions proceeded selectively to afford coumarins in good to high yields.

Dramatic enhancement of catalytic activity in an ionic liquid: Highly practical Friedel-Crafts alkenylation of arenes with alkynes catalyzed by metal triflates

Song, Choong Eui,Jung, Da-Un,Choung, Su Yhen,Roh, Eun Joo,Lee, Sang-Gi

, p. 6183 - 6185 (2007/10/03)

A simple and highly efficient method for the Friedel-Crafts alkenylation of aromatic compounds has been developed by using a metal triflate (OTf) catalyst in an ionic liquid (see scheme, bmim = 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium). Not only is the catalytic activity significantly enhanced in the ionic liquid and by-product formation decreased, but some reactions that were not possible in conventional organic solvents were shown to proceed smoothly.
