Novel organic platinum complex of the formula: STR1 wherein R1 is hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl group, R2 is a substituted or unsubstituted lower alkyl group, a lower alkenyl group, a lower alkanoyl group, a mono- or di-lower alkylamino group, a substituted or unsubstituted nitrogen-containing hetero-monocyclic group, an oxygen-containing hetero-monocyclic group, or a group of the formula: --CH2 O(CH2 CH2 O)m CH3, X is carbonyl group or sulfonyl group, m is an integer of 1 or 2, which has excellent anti-tumor activity against various tumors and is useful as an anti-tumor agent, and a process for the preparation thereof, and a pharmaceutical composition containing said compound.
