2193-47-7 Usage
General Description
6-Fluorocytosine is a fluorinated cytosine derivative that is often used in the treatment of certain fungal infections, particularly those caused by Candida species. It is converted by fungal cytosine deaminase into 5-fluorouracil, which is then incorporated into fungal RNA and DNA, leading to disruption of fungal cell metabolism and ultimately cell death. 6-Fluorocytosine has limited activity against bacteria and has shown some potential for antitumor activity as well. However, it should be used with caution due to the potential for toxicity, particularly to bone marrow and gastrointestinal cells.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 2193-47-7 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 2,1,9 and 3 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 4 and 7 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 2193-47:
(6*2)+(5*1)+(4*9)+(3*3)+(2*4)+(1*7)=77
