Novel fluoro- and hydroxyl-containing jasmonate derivatives as highly efficient elicitors in suspension cultures of Taxus chinensis
Zhao, Zhenjiang,Xu, Yufang,Qian, Zhigang,Tian, Wenhong,Qian, Xuhong,Zhong, Jian-Jiang
, p. 4755 - 4758 (2004)
Some of jasmonate derivatives with fluoro- or hydroxyl groups on their ester parts are found to be novel and effective elicitors, which enhanced the production of taxuyunnanine C (Tc) up to 60% more than that by methyl jasmonate in Taxus chinensis cell cultures. To develop more effective abiotic elicitors for cell suspension cultures of T. chinensis to meet the needs for paclitaxel as anti-tumor drug, some fluoro- or hydroxyl-containing groups are introduced to the ester moiety of jasmonic acid by the esterification or acylation with bis(trichloromethyl) carbonate and corresponding alcohol. Some of them are found to be novel and effective elicitors, which can enhance the production of taxuyunnanine C (Tc) up to 60% more than that by methyl jasmonate (MJA) in T. chinensis cell cultures.

Paragraph 050, (2019/07/20)
This invention relates to methods for preparation of jasmonate compounds via a salt of jasmonic acid.
Optical Resolution of Methyl Jasmonate and Methyl Epijasmonate
Nishida, Ritsuo,Acree, Terry E.,Fukami, Hiroshi
, p. 769 - 772 (2007/10/02)
Optical isomers of methyl jasmonate were resolved from a commercial mixture via the formation of bornyl jasmonate diastereoisomers. The symmetry and magnitude of the optical rotation spectra, and the observation that only one isomer, (+)-methyl epijasmonate had the characteristic methyl jasmonate odor indicated that these preparations were optically pure.
Jasmonoid Synthesis from cis-4-Heptenoic Acid
Sato, Toshio,Kawara, Tatsuo,Sakata, Kazumi,Fujisawa, Tamotsu
, p. 505 - 508 (2007/10/02)
Jesmonoids with cis-2-pentenyl side-chain such as cis-jasmone, methyl jasmonate, and jasmolone were easily synthesized from cis-4-heptenoic acid obtained by the ring opening reaction of β-propiolactone with di-cis-butenylcuprate.
