CHROMEN-4-ONE DERIVATIVES, SUCH AS E.G. FLAVONES, FOR USE AS CK2 INHIBITORS FOR THE TREATMENT OF NEUROINFLAMMATION
-
Page/Page column 81, (2021/11/26)
Chromen-4-one derivatives, such as e.g. flavone derivatives and pharmaceutical compositions thereof are disclosed. In some instances, the compounds have increased aqueous solubility, bioavailability, and ability to cross the blood-brain-barrier. The compounds may be used to inhibit casein kinase 2 (CK2) activity and/or to treat diseases and conditions mediated at least in part by CK2 enzyme, such as e.g. inflammation, in particular neuroinflammation, or other diseases, such as e.g. cancer, cardiac hypertrophy, cystic fibrosis, a neurodegenerative disease, bipolar disorder, depression, a viral infection, obesity, diabetes mellitus, atherosclerosis, epilepsy, or any combination thereof.
Drug compound for treating hepatopathy and application thereof
-
Paragraph 0185-0186; 0188, (2019/10/15)
The invention discloses a drug compound for treating hepatopathy and application thereof. The drug compound specifically serves as a compound shown in general formula (I) or an optical isomer or a pharmaceutically-acceptable salt of the compound. The compound or the optical isomer or the pharmaceutically-acceptable salt of the compound has a good curative effect and low toxicity on hepatopathy, especially fatty liver. Experiments show that the compound has an obvious protective effect on zebrafish nonalcoholic fatty liver, so that the drug compound has a good application prospect in medicinesfor treatment or prevention of hepatopathy, especially fatty liver or liver fibrosis or liver cirrhosis.

Page/Page column 48, (2010/12/29)
[Object] It is to provide a novel LXRβ agonist useful as a preventative and/or therapeutic agent for atherosclerosis; arteriosclerosis such as those resulting from diabetes; dyslipidemia; hypercholesterolemia; lipid-related diseases; inflammatory diseases that are caused by inflammatory cytokines; skin diseases such as allergic skin diseases; diabetes; or Alzheimer's disease. [Solving Means] A carbinol compound represented by the following general formula (I) or salt thereof, or their solvate: (wherein, each V and W independently show N or C—R7; each X and Y independently show CH2, C═O, SO2, etc; Z shows CH or N; each R1, R2 and R7 independently show a hydrogen atom, C1-8 alkyl group, etc.; R3 shows C1-8 alkyl group; R4 shows an optionally substituted C6-10 aryl group or an optionally substituted 5- to 11-membered heterocyclic group; R5 and R6 show a hydrogen atom, etc.; L shows a C1-8 alkyl chain optionally substituted with an oxo group, etc.; and n shows any integer of 0 to 2.)
Design, synthesis and biological evaluation of hetaryl-nucleoside derivatives as inhibitors of chitin synthase
Behr, Jean-Bernard,Gourlain, Thierry,Helimi, Abdellatif,Guillerm, Georges
, p. 1713 - 1716 (2007/10/03)
We report here the design, synthesis and biological evaluation of new models of sugar analogues for chitin synthase. These UDP-GlcNAc mimetics associate a sugar-mimicking hetaryl group and uridine, linked with different pyrophosphate bioisosteres. The compounds displayed weak inhibition activity on chitin synthase and their antifungal potencies have been assayed against a large variety of pathogenic fungi.
Convenient Method for the ortho-Formylation of Phenols
Hofslokken, Nini U.,Skattebol, Lars
, p. 258 - 262 (2007/10/03)
Phenolic derivatives are formylated selectively ortho to the hydroxy group by paraformaldehyde with magnesium dichloride-triethylamine as base. With alkyl-substituted phenols excellent yields of the corresponding salicylaldehyde derivatives were obtained. Similar results were obtained with chloro-substituted phenols and with 3- and 4-methoxyphenol, while 2-methoxyphenol was unreactive. A good yield of methyl 3-formyl-4-hydroxybenzoate was obtained by this method as well, but generally phenols with electron-attracting groups reacted sluggishly; the long reaction times required caused the formation of by-products, particularly MOM-derivatives of the phenols.
