Integracin B, also known as Integracin B ester, is a unique compound first isolated from a fungus, Cytonaema sp., in 2002. It is an unusual ester of two structurally related alkylresorcinols and has demonstrated potent inhibitory effects on HIV-1 integrase. Despite its potential, Integracin B has not received significant attention beyond its initial discovery.

Integracin B is used as an inhibitor for HIV-1 integrase, a crucial enzyme involved in the replication of the HIV virus. Its potent inhibitory action makes it a promising candidate for the development of antiretroviral drugs to combat HIV-1 infection.
Used in Antiviral Research:
Integracin B is used as a research tool to study the mechanisms of HIV-1 integrase and its role in the viral replication process. This knowledge can contribute to the development of novel antiviral strategies and therapies targeting HIV-1.
Used in Drug Development:
Integracin B is used as a lead compound in the development of new antiviral drugs. Its unique structure and potent inhibitory activity against HIV-1 integrase make it a valuable starting point for designing and synthesizing new molecules with improved efficacy and safety profiles.

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 224186-05-4 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 2,2,4,1,8 and 6 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 0 and 5 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 224186-05:
(8*2)+(7*2)+(6*4)+(5*1)+(4*8)+(3*6)+(2*0)+(1*5)=114
114 % 10 = 4
So 224186-05-4 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Absolute configurations of integracins A, B, and 15'-dehydroxy-integracin B

Liu, Hai-Li,Huang, Xiao-Yin,Li, Jia,Xin, Guo-Rong,Guo, Yue-Wei

experimental part, p. 459 - 462 (2012/09/10)

Integracins A (1) and B (2), potent HIV-1 integrase inhibitors, and 15'-dehydroxy-integracin B (3) were isolated for the first time from Chinese mangrove plant Sonneratia hainanensis. Their absolute configurations were determined by the Mosher's method and specific rotation analysis of alcohols (6 and 7) obtained from integracin A in two steps and by chemical correlation. Integracin A (1) also exhibited significant cytotoxicity against the tumor cell lines HepG2 and NCI-H460 with both 100% inhibitions at 25 μg/ml. Copyright
