-
, (2008/06/13)
A luminescent material, particularly an organic luminescent material, containing a triarylamine derivative of formula (1): wherein X represents an arylene group other than a phenylene group, or a divalent heterocyclic group other than a thienylene group; Ar1and Ar2independently and individually represent a phenylene group or a naphthylene group; and R1through R20independently and individually represent a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a C1-C6 alkyl group, a C1-C6 alkoxy group, a substituted or unsubstituted amino group, a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group, or a substituted or unsubstituted heterocyclic group, the substituted or unsubstituted aryl group or the substituted or unsubstituted heterocyclic group may be condensed with the corresponding benzen ring at an arbitrary position of the benzen ring. Also disclosed is an organic electroluminescent device (organic EL device) making use of the above compound. The organic electroluminescent device has a long service life and exhibits high luminous efficiency.
