Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 2289-94-3 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 2,2,8 and 9 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 9 and 4 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 2289-94:
(6*2)+(5*2)+(4*8)+(3*9)+(2*9)+(1*4)=103
103 % 10 = 3
So 2289-94-3 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

In the search for new anticancer drugs. VIII. Oxaziridines and epoxides

Sosnovsky,Lukszo

, p. 331 - 340 (2007/10/02)

Several oxaziridine derivatives (20, 21, 22, 23, 24 and 25) and epoxides (41, 42, 44, 45 and 48) containing either the carbon-phosphorus or carbon-nitrogen-phosphorus bonds were synthesized. The in vivo testing of these compounds against the lymphocytic leukemia P388 indicated a lack of anticancer activity for the oxaziridine derivatives 20, 21, 22, 24 and 25. Compounds 23, 41, 42, 44, 45 and 48 were active as evidenced by the T/C values of 143 at 12.5 mg/kg, 163 at 20 mg/kg, 194 at 80 mg/kg, 152 at 150 mg/kg, 154 at 150 mg/kg, and 141 at 50 mg/kg, respectively.
