Description
Disodium 8,8'-[[1,1'-biphenyl]-4,4'-diylbis(azo)]bis(7-hydroxynaphthalene-1-sulphonate) is a complex organic compound that exhibits a range of colors from dark red to blue light red violet. It is soluble in water, producing a red to red light purple product, and is slightly soluble in alcohol. When interacting with strong acids like sulfuric acid, it turns purple, and when diluted, it becomes light purple with a red hue. In nitric acid, it forms a red-orange solution. The dye solution reacts with strong hydrochloric acid to produce a navy color and forms a precipitate. When mixed with a thick sodium hydroxide solution, it turns red light brown and also precipitates.

Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 2302-97-8 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 2,3,0 and 2 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 9 and 7 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 2302-97:
(6*2)+(5*3)+(4*0)+(3*2)+(2*9)+(1*7)=58
58 % 10 = 8
So 2302-97-8 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
