Bunitrolol hydrochloride, also known as 2-(tert-butylamino)-1-(4-hydroxy-3-((1-methyl-6-phenylhexyl)amino)propoxy)ethyl phenol hydrochloride, is a beta-adrenergic blocking agent. It is utilized in the medical field for its ability to treat hypertension and angina by blocking the action of adrenaline and related chemicals, thereby lowering blood pressure and reducing the heart's workload. As a non-selective beta blocker, it impacts both beta-1 and beta-2 receptors. Bunitrolol hydrochloride is commonly administered orally in tablet or capsule form and may come with potential side effects such as dizziness, fatigue, and gastrointestinal disturbances.

23093-74-5 Usage

Uses

Used in Pharmaceutical Industry:
Bunitrolol HCL is used as an antihypertensive agent for the treatment of hypertension, helping to manage high blood pressure by reducing the force and rate of heart contractions, which in turn decreases cardiac output and blood pressure.
BUNITROLOL HCL is used as an anti-anginal agent for the treatment of angina, providing relief from chest pain and pressure caused by insufficient blood flow to the heart muscle. It achieves this by reducing the heart's oxygen demand and workload.
Additionally, due to its non-selective nature, Bunitrolol HCL may have other applications in the medical field where beta-blockers are beneficial, such as in the management of certain cardiac arrhythmias, heart failure, and prevention of migraines, though specific uses would depend on clinical indications and patient needs.

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 23093-74-5 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 2,3,0,9 and 3 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 7 and 4 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 23093-74:
(7*2)+(6*3)+(5*0)+(4*9)+(3*3)+(2*7)+(1*4)=95
95 % 10 = 5
So 23093-74-5 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
