Uses
Used in Pest Control Industry:
Potassium fluoroacetate is used as a rodenticide for [application reason] controlling and eliminating rodent populations. Its toxicity makes it an effective agent in pest management, particularly for addressing rodent infestations that can cause damage to property and spread diseases.
Air & Water Reactions
Water soluble.
Reactivity Profile
Salts, basic, such as Potassium fluoroacetate, are generally soluble in water. The resulting solutions contain moderate concentrations of hydroxide ions and have pH's greater than 7.0. They react as bases to neutralize acids. These neutralizations generate heat, but less or far less than is generated by neutralization of the bases in reactivity group 10 (Bases) and the neutralization of amines. They usually do not react as either oxidizing agents or reducing agents but such behavior is not impossible.
Health Hazard
Highly toxic, may be fatal if inhaled, swallowed or absorbed through skin. Avoid any skin contact. Effects of contact or inhalation may be delayed. Fire may produce irritating, corrosive and/or toxic gases. Runoff from fire control or dilution water may be corrosive and/or toxic and cause pollution.
Fire Hazard
Non-combustible, substance itself does not burn but may decompose upon heating to produce corrosive and/or toxic fumes. Containers may explode when heated. Runoff may pollute waterways.
Safety Profile
Poison by ingestion,
intravenous, parenteral, and subcutaneous
routes. When heated to decomposition it
emits toxic fumes of F and K2O. See also

Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 23745-86-0 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 2,3,7,4 and 5 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 8 and 6 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 23745-86:
(7*2)+(6*3)+(5*7)+(4*4)+(3*5)+(2*8)+(1*6)=120
120 % 10 = 0
So 23745-86-0 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Peptide N-glycanase (PNGase), the enzyme responsible for the deglycosylation of N-linked glycoproteins, has an active site related to that of cysteine proteases. Chitiobiose was equipped with electrophilic traps often used in cysteine protease inhibitors,
