Azulene-Fused Linear Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons with Small Bandgap, High Stability, and Reversible Stimuli Responsiveness
Murai, Masahito,Iba, Shinji,Ota, Hiromi,Takai, Kazuhiko
, p. 5585 - 5588 (2017)
Azulene-fused polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) were synthesized from commercially available azulene in four steps. The resulting azulene conjugates exhibited significantly narrow HOMO-LUMO bandgaps with high air stability, confirmed by photophysica
THE SYNTHESIS OF NAPHTH- AND NAPHTHAZULENES
Yasunami, Masafumi,Yang, P. W.,Kondo, Yukio,Noro, Yukio,Takase, Kahei
, p. 167 - 170 (2007/10/02)
Naphth- and naphthazulenes were synthesized by dehydrogenation of 5,6-dihydronaphth- and 5,12 dihydronaphthazulenes which were obtained by the reaction of 2H-cycloheptafuran-2-one with 1- and 2-pyrrolidinyl-3,4-dihydronaphthalenes, respectively.
