Used in Textile Industry:
Disodium 5-[[4'-[(2-amino-8-hydroxy-6-sulphonato-1-naphthyl)azo][1,1'-biphenyl]-4-yl]azo]salicylate is used as a dye for cellulose fibers, such as cotton or viscose, due to its good dyeing performance and maximum affinity at 80-100°C. It is also used for direct printing of cotton or viscose to discharge printing color.
Used in Silk, Wool, and Leather Industry:
disodium 5-[[4'-[(2-amino-8-hydroxy-6-sulphonato-1-naphthyl)azo][1,1'-biphenyl]-4-yl]azo]salicylate is also used for dyeing silk, wool, stick/hair, stick/cotton, and leather, thanks to its ability to form a light red sauce precipitate and undergo color changes in the presence of acids and bases.
Used in Organic Pigment and Sediment Color Manufacturing:
