New monocyclopentadienyl species of Ti(IV) and Zr(IV), namely Cp*MX(SR)2, X = Cl, M = Zr 2, X = Ph, M = Zr 5, X = Me, M = Ti 6, bearing the pyrimidinethiolate ligand, SR, were prepared. In addition, tris-oxipyridine and -oxipyrimidine-containing zirconium complexes, Cp*Zr(OR)3 9 and 10, were also isolated. The dynamic behavior of some of them was studied by variable-temperature 1H NMR spectroscopy. The molecular structure of 10 was also established by means of a X-ray diffraction study.
