5,6-Dihydroxy-7,3',4'-trimethoxyflavone (I) and 5,6,4'-trihydroxy-7,3'-dimethoxyflavone (II), have been synthesised.The spectral data (mass, UV and PMR) of the synthetic I and II are in agreement with those reported for the corresponding natural samples occurring in Thymbra spicata.
