2610-11-9 Usage
Uses
Used in Cosmetics and Hair Dyes:
CHLORANTINE FAST RED 5B is used as a colorant in cosmetics and hair dyes for its ability to provide a rich red color. Its solubility in water and soluble fiber elements makes it suitable for these applications.
Used in Textile Industry:
In the textile industry, CHLORANTINE FAST RED 5B is used as a dye for coloring cotton and viscose fabrics. It can also be used for paper coloration.
Properties and Applications:
CHLORANTINE FAST RED 5B exhibits various properties that make it suitable for different applications. It has a strong resistance to acids and alkalis, as well as light fastness. However, it has moderate soaping and water resistance, with a rating of 1-2 and 1, respectively. The dye solution changes color when exposed to strong hydrochloric acid, resulting in yellow olive brown precipitation, and turns purple when mixed with a thick sodium hydroxide solution. At 60°C, its solubility is 40 g/L, and it is not sensitive to fights. The dye is classified as A class SDC and has a poor covering ability on dead cotton. For cotton, it has a neutral and alkaline white level of 5, while for viscose, it has a neutral white level of 4-5.
Standard:
According to the ISO and AATCC standards, CHLORANTINE FAST RED 5B has the following ratings:
Acid Resistance: ISO 4, AATCC 4
Alkali Resistance: ISO 3, AATCC 3-4
Light Fastness: ISO 4, AATCC 4-5
Soaping: ISO 1-2, AATCC 1
Water: ISO 1, AATCC 1
In addition to its use as a dye, CHLORANTINE FAST RED 5B is also used as a plasma stain in some trichrome staining methods, as defined by ChEBI.

Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 2610-11-9 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 2,6,1 and 0 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 1 and 1 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 2610-11:
(6*2)+(5*6)+(4*1)+(3*0)+(2*1)+(1*1)=49
49 % 10 = 9
So 2610-11-9 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
