Coordination compounds of the general formula Cat[LnL4], where Cat+ = NEt+4 (Ln = La, Ce-Er, Y); Cat+ = PPh+4 (Ln = La, Pr, Nd, Eu, Ho, Er) and several ordinary salts CatL, where Cat+ = Na+, PPh+4, SbPh+4; HL = C6H5C(O)NHP(O)[OCH(CH3)2] 2 (diisopropyl benzoylamidophosphate), are synthesized. The compounds are studied by IR, 1H NMR, 31P NMR, and electronic spectroscopy. From the IR and electronic spectroscopy data, the coordination mode of the ligand is established to be bidentate cyclic through the oxygen atoms of phosphoryl and carbonyl groups and the coordination geometry is proposed to be a square antiprism.
