General Description
Diethyl bis(2-hydroxyethyl)aminomethylphosphonate, also known as DEBA, is a chemical compound commonly used as an inhibitor of calcium carbonate scale formation in water treatment and as a chelating agent in various industrial processes. It is a phosphonate compound with a complex molecular structure that allows it to effectively bind to metal ions and prevent them from precipitating and forming scale. DEBA is water-soluble and has a high thermal stability, making it suitable for use in high-temperature applications. It is also considered to be biodegradable and environmentally friendly, with low acute toxicity. DEBA is used in a variety of industries, including the oil and gas, food and beverage, and water treatment sectors for its anti-scaling and metal chelating properties.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 2781-11-5 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 2,7,8 and 1 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 1 and 1 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 2781-11:
(6*2)+(5*7)+(4*8)+(3*1)+(2*1)+(1*1)=85
85 % 10 = 5
So 2781-11-5 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Paragraph 0014-0023, (2018/12/14)
The invention discloses a method for synthesizing N, N-bis (2-hydroxyethyl) aminomethyl phosphoric acid diethyl ester, and relates to the technical field of flame retardants. The synthetic method comprises the following steps that diethanol amine is added into a reaction flask, paraformaldehyde is slowly added at the temperature of not more than 100 DEG C, then stirring is carried out at the temperature for reaction for 1 hour, cooling is carried out to reach 60 DEG C, dimethyl phosphite is slowly dropwise added, the reaction is carried out for 3 hours at the temperature, after the reaction isfinished, reduced pressure distillation is carried out, and the intermediate fraction is the product. The method has the main advantages that the hydrolysis of an intermediate is avoided, the yield is increased, meanwhile, no wastewater is generated in the whole reaction process, and a used solvent is recycled and reused.
