Conformation of DNA-Bound Spermidine by Double 13C Labeling
Menger, F. M.,D'Angelo, L. L.
, p. 3467 - 3468 (1991)
Double-13C-labeling experiments show conclusively that the central bond of the C4 unit in spermidine adopts an anti configuration when bound to various types of DNA.Double-13C-labeling is a powerful though laborious method of securing conformational informations on biomolecules in aqueous media.
Syntheses of [5,8-13C2]- and [1,12-13C2]spermine using potassium [13C]cyanide as the 13C source
Samejima,Matsushima,Niitsu,Beppu,Frydman
, p. 2001 - 2004 (2007/10/03)
[5,8-13C2]Spermine and [1,12-13C2]spermine were prepared using [13C]KCN as the source of the label. By reaction of the latter with 1,2- dibromoethane and ethylene chlorohydrin, the corresponding [1,4-
Pyrrolizidine Alkaloid Biosynthesis. Synthesis of 13C-Labelled Putrescines and their Incorporation into Retronecine
Khan, Hassan A.,Robins, David J.
, p. 101 - 106 (2007/10/02)
The biosynthesis of the retronecine (3) portion of the pyrrolizidine alkaloid retrorsine (1) has been studied in Senecio isatideus plants using 13C-labelled putrescines.Samples of -(10), -(8), and -putrescine (9) were prepared a
