Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 28790-55-8 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 2,8,7,9 and 0 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 5 and 5 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 28790-55:
(7*2)+(6*8)+(5*7)+(4*9)+(3*0)+(2*5)+(1*5)=148
148 % 10 = 8
So 28790-55-8 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Fluorous Analogue of Chloramine-T: Preparation, X-ray Structure Determination, and Use as an Oxidant for Radioiodination and s-Tetrazine Synthesis

Dzandzi, James P. K.,Beckford Vera, Denis R.,Genady, Afaf R.,Albu, Silvia A.,Eltringham-Smith, Louise J.,Capretta, Alfredo,Sheffield, William P.,Valliant, John F.

, p. 7117 - 7125 (2015)

A fluorous oxidant that can be used to introduce radioiodine into small molecules and proteins and generate iodinated tetrazines for bioorthogonal chemistry has been developed. The oxidant was prepared in 87% overall yield by combining a fluorous amine wi

A hybrid solid-fluorous phase radioiodination and purification platform

Dzandzi, James P. K.,Vera, Denis R. Beckford,Valliant, John F.

, p. 551 - 557 (2014)

A new class of fluorous materials was developed to create a hybrid solid-solution phase strategy for the expedient preparation and HPLC-free purification of 125I-labeled compounds. The system is referred to as a hybrid platform in that it combines solution phase labeling and fluorous solid-phase purification in one step as opposed to two separate individual processes. Treatment of fluorous arylstannanes coated on fluorous silica with [125I]NaI and the appropriate oxidant made it possible to produce and selectively isolate the nonfluorous radiolabeled products in high purity (>98%) free from excess starting material and unreacted radioiodine. Examples included simple aryl and heterocyclic (click) derivatives, known radiopharmaceuticals including meta-iodobenzylguanidine (MIBG) and iododeoxyuridine (IUdR), and a new agent with high affinity for prostate-specific membrane antigen. The coated fluorous silica kits are simple to prepare, and reactions can be performed at room temperature using different oxidants generating products in minutes in biocompatible solutions. METHOD FOR SYNTHESIZING IODO- OR ASTATOARENES USING DIARYLIODONIUM SALTS

-

Page/Page column 29-31, (2017/06/24)

The present invention concerns a method of synthesizing a iodo- or astatoarene comprising the reaction of a diaryliodonium compound with a iodide or astatide salt, respectively. The invention also relates to said iodo- or astatoarene and diaryliodonium co

Unexpected Behavior of the Heaviest Halogen Astatine in the Nucleophilic Substitution of Aryliodonium Salts

Guérard, Fran?ois,Lee, Yong-Sok,Baidoo, Kwamena,Gestin, Jean-Fran?ois,Brechbiel, Martin W.

, p. 12332 - 12339 (2016/08/24)

Aryliodonium salts have become precursors of choice for the synthesis of18F-labeled tracers for nuclear imaging. However, little is known on the reactivity of these compounds with heavy halides, that is, radioiodide and astatide, at the radiotracer scale. In the first comparative study of radiohalogenation of aryliodonium salts with125I?and211At?, initial experiments on a model compound highlight the higher reactivity of astatide compared to iodide, which could not be anticipated from the trends previously observed within the halogen series. Kinetic studies indicate a significant difference in activation energy (Ea=23.5 and 17.1 kcal mol?1with125I?and211At?, respectively). Quantum chemical calculations suggest that astatination occurs via the monomeric form of an iodonium complex whereas iodination occurs via a heterodimeric iodonium intermediate. The good to excellent regioselectivity of halogenation and high yields achieved with diversely substituted aryliodonium salts indicate that this class of compounds is a promising alternative to the stannane chemistry currently used for heavy radiohalogen labeling of tracers in nuclear medicine.
