Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 29204-84-0 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 2,9,2,0 and 4 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 8 and 4 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 29204-84:
(7*2)+(6*9)+(5*2)+(4*0)+(3*4)+(2*8)+(1*4)=110
110 % 10 = 0
So 29204-84-0 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Synthesis of N-Phenyl-2,3-dihydroxyiminobutanamide and its Ni(II) and Cu(II) Complexes

Guezel, Bilgehan,Serin, Selahattin

, p. 931 - 940 (2008/10/09)

N-phenyl-2,3-dihydroxyiminobutanamide (1) was synthesized from N-phenyl-3-oxo-butanamide (2) following a new method and was characterized by spectroscopic techniques. The nickel(II) and copper(II) complexes of (1) were also prepared and characterised. The structure of the nickel(II) complex was found in amphi form in contrast to those of reported as in anti form in the literature.
