Thioboration of nitriles yields (B)-S substituted iminoboranes. Iminoboranes containing two thio substituents on each B- and C-atom are formed in the reaction of organo thiocyanates and tris(organothio)boranes. Characteristic group frequencies in the IR spectra of the monomeric and dimeric forms are discussed.
