C20H14F4S2 is an organic compound composed of carbon (C), hydrogen (H), fluorine (F), and sulfur (S). It has a molecular formula indicating 20 carbon atoms, 14 hydrogen atoms, 4 fluorine atoms, and 2 sulfur atoms. C20H14F4S2 likely has a complex structure due to the presence of multiple heteroatoms and the relatively high molecular weight. The fluorine atoms could be influencing the compound's reactivity and physical properties, while the sulfur atoms may contribute to its odor or potential reactivity with other chemicals. The specific arrangement of these atoms within the molecule would determine its chemical behavior, such as its polarity, solubility, and potential applications in various fields such as pharmaceuticals, materials science, or chemical research.

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 3200-14-4 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 3,2,0 and 0 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 1 and 4 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 3200-14:
(6*3)+(5*2)+(4*0)+(3*0)+(2*1)+(1*4)=34
34 % 10 = 4
So 3200-14-4 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Novel fluoropolymers formed by an unprecedented SRN1 condensation polymerization mechanism

Dolbier Jr., William R.,Rodriguez-Garcia, Valerie,Wu, Kai,Angerhofer, Alexander,Hedhli, Lotfi,Elsheikh, Maher

, p. 991 - 993 (2008)

A condensation copolymerization reaction between bis-phenol A and p-bis-(chlorodifluoro-methyl)benzene has been carried out to form a novel fluoropolymer that has excellent thermal and solubility properties. It is proposed that this polymerization reaction occurs via an unprecedented SRN1 mechanism. This demonstration of the use of SRN1 chemistry for condensation polymerizations of fluorinated monomers creates the opportunity for preparation of new fluoropolymers which are otherwise inaccessible.
