A selective synthetic method of the 2,5-biaryltriazolones has been developed via copper-catalyzed N-arylation reaction. Aryltriazolones, which were readily prepared from commercially available compounds, were N-arylated to 2,5-biaryltriazolones with high regioselectivity.
