3,3'-[Iminobis(ethyleneimino)]dipropiononitrile, also known as Malononitrile, is an organic compound with the chemical formula C6H6N4. It is a colorless, crystalline solid that is soluble in water and various organic solvents. 3,3'-[iminobis(ethyleneimino)]dipropiononitrile is formed by the condensation of two molecules of acrylonitrile, resulting in a structure that contains two imine groups connected by a methylene bridge. Malononitrile is an important building block in organic synthesis, particularly for the preparation of various heterocyclic compounds, such as pyridines and pyrazines. It is also used as a reagent in the synthesis of pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, and other specialty chemicals. Due to its high reactivity, it is essential to handle Malononitrile with care, as it can be toxic and may pose health risks if not properly managed.

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 3216-99-7 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 3,2,1 and 6 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 9 and 9 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 3216-99:
(6*3)+(5*2)+(4*1)+(3*6)+(2*9)+(1*9)=77
77 % 10 = 7
So 3216-99-7 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Synthesis, complex formation kinetics and thermodynamic study of some acyclic polyamine and N2O2 ligands with copper(II)

Ozay, Hava,Baran, Yakup

experimental part, p. 4299 - 4308 (2011/09/16)

The polydentate ligands, 3-(2-aminocyclohexylamino)-2-(2-aminocyclohexyl aminomethyl) propionic acid (L1), 4,7,10-triazatridecanedinitrile trihydrochloride (L2), and 2,2'-(ethane-1,2-diyl) bis(methylazanediyl) diethanol (L3) were prepared and their structures investigated by FT-IR, NMR, and MS. The kinetics of complex formation between Cu(II) and L1, L2, and L3 were investigated in acidic aqueous solutions using the stopped-flow method. The stability constants of the complexes were determined by spectrophotometric titration (T = 293 K, = 0.1 mol L-1 NaClO4), using a diode array UV-Vis spectrophotometer equipped with peristaltic pump and pH meter. The stability constants for the complexes were CuL1 CuL2 CuL3. Activation enthalpies (H#) of these complexes were 55 kJ mol-1 for CuL1, 61 kJ mol-1 for CuL 2, and 36 kJ mol-1 for CuL3, respectively.
