32395-58-7 Usage
Uses
Used in Coatings and Paints Industry:
Dimethyloctadecylsilane is used as a surface modifier and water repellent in paints and coatings, improving their resistance to water and moisture. This helps in protecting the surfaces from damage caused by water exposure and extends the lifespan of the coatings.
Used in Personal Care Industry:
In personal care products such as skin creams and hair treatments, dimethyloctadecylsilane is used as a water repelling agent. It enhances the water resistance of these products, providing better protection and longer-lasting effects.
Used in Electronics Industry:
Dimethyloctadecylsilane is utilized in the manufacturing of electronic materials to provide water repellency and surface protection. This helps in safeguarding electronic components from moisture-related damage, ensuring their durability and performance.
Used in Adhesives Industry:
In the production of adhesives, dimethyloctadecylsilane is used as a water repellent to improve the adhesive's performance in moist environments. It enhances the bond strength and durability of the adhesive by reducing the impact of water and moisture on the adhesive's properties.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 32395-58-7 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 3,2,3,9 and 5 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 5 and 8 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 32395-58:
(7*3)+(6*2)+(5*3)+(4*9)+(3*5)+(2*5)+(1*8)=117
117 % 10 = 7
So 32395-58-7 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Alkoxy Hydrosilanes As Surrogates of Gaseous Silanes for Hydrosilylation of Alkenes
Buslov, Ivan,Keller, Sébastien Carlos,Hu, Xile
supporting information, p. 1928 - 1931 (2016/05/19)
Me2SiH2, MeSiH3, and SiH4 are gaseous and flammable silanes that are inconvenient to use in chemical reactions. Catalytic amounts of a nickel pincer complex and NaOtBu are reported to allow the synthesis of alkyl hydrosilanes from alkenes and alkoxy hydrosilanes, leading to the replacement of Me2SiH2, MeSiH3, and SiH4 by Me2(MeO)SiH, Me(EtO)2SiH, and (MeO)3SiH in hydrosilylation reactions of alkenes. The scope and mechanism of the reactions are also described.
