327-98-0 Usage
Description
TRICHLORONATE, also known as an organophosphate insecticide, is an amber liquid with high toxicity. It is used as a non-systemic insecticide, meaning it does not get distributed within the plant system but rather acts on contact to control pests. It is noteworthy that TRICHLORONATE is not sold in the U.S or Canada and is not registered as a pesticide in the U.S.
Uses
Used in Agricultural Industry:
TRICHLORONATE is used as an insecticide for controlling a variety of pests in agricultural settings. Its application reason is due to its high toxicity, which effectively eliminates insects that can damage crops and reduce yield.
Reactivity Profile
Organophosphates, such as TRICHLORONATE, are susceptible to formation of highly toxic and flammable phosphine gas in the presence of strong reducing agents such as hydrides. Partial oxidation by oxidizing agents may result in the release of toxic phosphorus oxides.
Health Hazard
Material is an organophosphate and toxic effects are due to action on the nervous system. It has high oral toxicity and death can occur in acute poisonings. Delayed neurotoxicity has been reported.
Fire Hazard
When heated to decomposition, TRICHLORONATE emits very toxic fumes of chlorine containing compounds, phosphorus oxides, and sulfur oxides.
Safety Profile
Poison by ingestion and
skin contact. Moderately toxic by inhalation.
An insecticide. When heated to
decomposition it emits very toxic fumes of Cl-, POx,, and SOx. See also CHLOROPHENOLS.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 327-98-0 includes 6 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 3 digits, 3,2 and 7 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 9 and 8 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 327-98:
(5*3)+(4*2)+(3*7)+(2*9)+(1*8)=70
70 % 10 = 0
So 327-98-0 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
